We are proud to announce that we will be offering a class in Integrated Risk Management.

This one-day, eight hour course provides a holistic (synergistic innovative) perspective of globally recognized Risk Management methodologies. A progressive series of models present fundamental principals, structure, and processes for an organization to manage uncertainty that is strategic to project, program, or portfolio success.

Risk Management Thinking Before Project Planning

Feedback from several colleagues suggests clarity is needed regarding my pursuit to advance Risk Management Thinking before Project Planning, a captivating “school of thought” that came to mind and remained connected throughout my pursuit to pass the PMI-RMP® exam on first attempt.  Mission accomplished in July 2009.  Now it is time to progressively elaborate this “school of thought” in a manner that will help a broad audience better understand risk management from a global perspective as well as from a project viewpoint.

The focus of this first briefing is to persuade a change away from a “checklist, step-procedural driven” mindset for managing a risk-laden project (or organizational) to a holistic and systematic approach driven by this catalyst: Think before planning, plan before doing, and then execute the plan.  Wisdom-
